I had some time to snap a few sunset photos today and I like how they came out more artistic and grungy rather than pristine and super ootd of the day look to them. The only down part is that the details of the outfit aren't so clear. Hope you like the bright, sunlit photos!

[TRAVEL DIARY] Dublin, Ireland - my long lost kingdom
Ireland is a place I could see myself retiring to: it's so peaceful and dreamlike yet there's an undercurrent of sparkling energy and a subtle sense of vitality.
This city is alive, throbbing with a pulse of deep-rooted history and fresh innovation at the same time.
The contrast is dizzying - in the best kind of way.
It's a beautiful city and a place I hold so very dear to my heart.
I fell in love with Ireland at first sight and I've not looked back since.

[EVENT] Style Fashion Week Sunday March 9
Today was the kickoff start day of STYLE Fashion Week in LA and I was lucky enough to be able to volunteer for the event!
I absolutely love the behind the scenes aspect even most of the time it's quite hectic and actually not glamorous at all, but I love seeing how things really are - the cogwheels of the show, in a sense; I think it's really interesting how everything comes together perfectly in the end despite all the stress/panic involved in the behind the scenes the shows.

[OOTD] Borrowed Wings
Hello all! I finally got a chance to take some ootd photos after SO LONG of not taking any!
It was making me very sad that I didn't have time to take ootd photos because I've been wearing some cute pieces lately. I'm planning to clear a wall of my room so that I can have some nice blank space to take a daily ootd photo before I head off for school/work :) I'll keep you posted on that.

Minnie Mouse Muse
Perhaps I have an inner minnie mouse muse somewhere… (try saying that 10 times fast…) or perhaps I don’t ! I’m not a huuuuge fan of Disney but I recall bits and pieces of it as in my memories of childhood somewhere. I especially loved Ariel even though I do realize she was kind of brat now ! Haha.
Either way, this little red dress and heels reminds me of something quirky and fun like Minnie Mouse. These shots were taken outside on…the sidewalk. That’s a niiiice sidewalk if you ask me!
Sorry these photos are a bit belated. They were taken sometime when the weather was still being bratty and acting like summer even though fall was just right around the corner.

The black sheep
I have to admit it — I freaking miss Europe already. The thing I miss most about it?
How everyone looks absolutely stunning and effortlessly stylish all the damn time.
It seems like they just roll out of bed looking and dressed like Burberry models or something. I guess I really love ACTUAL winter weather and clothing (cough I just went to the pool today and it’s 70F right now in SoCal =_= cough) and how the styles are so sharp and clean and sophisticated. Even old ladies and middle aged business men look oddly impeccable in their long double breasted wool coats and thick plaid scarves — also I LOVE how everyone actually WEARS scarves. Real scarves, not some flimsy little floral printed thing blowing in the wind.
I came back here to be enormously disappointed by the sheer carelessness of the way most Californians dress and how you can tell there was absolutely no effort put in there at all. I know we’re known for a laid back, casual lifestyle but COME ON, you really couldn’t have changed out of that torn, stained random college t-shirt you’ve been wearing for the last five days? -shudders-
I understand the fact that we do not have any type of remotely real winter weather here but that doesn’t mean we have to look like haggard old grannies who live under rocks all the time, right?
All that being said, I looked absolutely ridiculous today prancing around campus with my Zara black coat when it was literally beach day weather outside.
What can I say? I terribly miss Europe and just trying to make myself feel a tad bit better.
Too lazy to take an OOTD shot so here’s the coat I was wearing today;
*sigh* Anyways on this website it says the retail price is $189?? HOLY COW. http://www.lyst.com/clothing/zara-coat-with-gathered-shoulder-and-metallic-button-black-1/
I bought it from a nondescript possibly very shady website for $30 USD LOL WHAT IS LIFE.
SCORE!

d.Ra fashion showcase event
Hello everyone!
This past weekend I had a great time helping out and being a part of a private fashion showcase event for d.RA, the company I am interning for. It was a sort of last-minute notice for me but it’s okay because I decided to come and help out and it was really a fantastic event. I got to meet so many interesting and cool people! We chatted late into the night - almost an hour after the event was “over” !
I arrived at 6:20 and helped setting up most of the things (rack, clothes, etc). I put the clothes on the hangers and hung them on to the rack. I also steamed all the clothes so they would be presentable later on for the guests to browse through~
The spring line itself was beautiful and I got to wear one of the dresses! (it was my favorite actually hehe). Anyways I just enjoyed myself a whole bunch and I was so glad I went because I really got a good opportunity to gain some insight and experience with the behind-the-scenes of these kind of events. I also of course got a good chance to network and meet new people which is also very important.
One of my favorite things about the evening was the venue - it’s a cafe called Lamill Coffee located in a sleepy-town-ish part of LA (imagine that, eh?) and emanated a very tight-knit-community and cozy feel. I loved the venue to bits I am coming back there to try their other desserts and tasty foods. Everything they catered us with was like heaven! Also the place itself was so beautiful and elegant! You can read about them here: http://lamillcoffee.com/
Anyways, I happened to bring my Canon DSLR with me so I ended up being in charge of snapping some photos for the event too ! It was loads of fun. I do apologize for the photos being pretty pixel-y and not very great quality because the lighting was pretty dark and the pictures came out originally very orange/yellow; after I edited them, they became sort of pixel-y so that’s probably the effects you’re seeing. I really tried to fix them but it didn’t turn out how I really wanted them to but I hope that doesn’t bother anyone too much! Sorry in advanced >_<
